About

I've sat on your side of this.

I spent nine years as a dental nurse — and eight of them quietly battling acne and scarring that no prescription seemed to touch. Microneedling and chemical peels were what finally changed my skin, and my confidence with it. In 2023 I took the leap: qualified as a lash technician, then trained in the skin treatments that worked for me, so I could offer other people the same way out.

That's why every skin journey here starts with a free consultation, not a sales pitch. Whether it's acne, scarring, hyperpigmentation or just wanting your glow back — I've been the person in the chair, and I'll be honest with you about what will actually help.

Your questions, answered

Skin treatments

I've struggled with my skin for years and tried everything — can treatments really help?
I completely understand that feeling, because I've been there myself. After years of battling my own skin, it was when I found microneedling and chemical peels and stayed consistent with them that I discovered a real transformation. And it's not just my experience — there's real science behind why these treatments work. Microneedling stimulates your skin's own collagen and healing response, and peels work by resurfacing and renewing the skin at a cellular level, both of which are well-researched. Everyone's skin is different, which is why we start with a free consultation to work out what's right for you. Change is definitely possible!
What's the difference between microneedling and a chemical peel?
Both improve the skin but they work in different ways. Microneedling creates tiny controlled channels in the skin to kickstart your natural collagen production — great for texture, scarring and overall renewal. A chemical peel uses a solution to gently resurface the top layers, which helps with dullness, pigmentation and brightness. Many people benefit from a combination, and I'll advise what suits your skin and goals.
What can these treatments actually help with?
Between microneedling, peels and facials, I can support a range of concerns — acne, scarring, hyperpigmentation, age spots, dullness, uneven texture and general ageing. They're not just for fixing a specific problem — they're also a brilliant way to maintain healthy, glowing skin over time. Regular treatments help keep your skin renewed, boost collagen, improve hydration and tone, and keep everything looking fresh, radiant and well cared for. If you're not sure what you need, that's what the free consultation is for. There may well be something for you.
Does microneedling hurt?
Most people find it very manageable. I don't use numbing cream, as it can interfere with how the treatment performs and I'd always rather protect your results — so you may feel some light pressure or a slight scratching sensation, but it's not something most people would describe as painful, more uncomfortable. I'll always work at a level you're comfortable with and check in with you throughout, so you're always in control.
Should I be worried about having a chemical peel?
It's completely normal to feel nervous, especially if you picture dramatic peeling or irritation — but there's really no need to worry. Peels are carefully controlled treatments. You might feel a little tingling during, and experience some light flaking, redness or tightness afterwards, but this is the skin behaving exactly as it should. I'll talk you through exactly what to expect beforehand so there are no surprises. It's a gentle, gradual process designed to work with your skin.
How long until I see results?
Skin treatments aren't an overnight fix, and I'd always rather be honest about that than overpromise. Real results come from consistency — sticking to a proper treatment plan and letting your skin renew and rebuild over time. Some people notice a fresher, brighter look fairly early on, while deeper concerns like scarring take longer and more patience. At your consultation we'll talk through a realistic plan and timeline so you know exactly what to expect and when.
Are your treatments suitable for all skin types and tones?
Yes — treatments can be tailored to different skin types and tones, but the approach and product strength may vary to keep your skin safe. This is a big part of why I assess your skin properly before we start any treatment.
Is there anything that would mean I shouldn't have a treatment?
A few things mean we'd need to wait or adjust — for example pregnancy or breastfeeding, recent or current use of certain acne medications like isotretinoin (Roaccutane), active breakouts of cold sores, or some skin conditions and medications. Always mention these at your consultation and I'll advise honestly on the best route for you.

Lashes & brows

Lash lift or lash extensions — which is right for me?
A lash lift works with your own natural lashes, curling and lifting them from the root to open up your eyes and give a fuller look with no daily upkeep — perfect if you want something natural and low-maintenance. Extensions add length and volume by applying lashes individually, giving a more noticeable, glamorous result that you top up with infills. Neither is "better" — it comes down to the look you're after and how much maintenance suits your routine. If you're unsure, I'm always happy to talk it through and recommend what I think would be most suited to you.
How long do lash extensions last?
Lash extensions are applied to your natural lashes, which naturally shed and regrow over their own cycle — so to keep them looking full you'll usually come back for infills every couple of weeks or so. With good aftercare they'll stay looking their best for longer between appointments, and I'll always talk you through how to care for them.
How long does a lash lift last?
A lash lift typically lasts until your natural lashes grow out and are replaced through their normal cycle — usually a matter of weeks rather than days. There's no daily upkeep involved: you just enjoy the lift until it gently grows out, then rebook when you're ready. Most clients get 6–8 weeks from their lift.
What is brow lamination and what does it do?
A brow lamination smooths and sets your natural brow hairs into a fuller, neater, more uniform shape — think brushed-up, glossy brows that stay put. It's brilliant if your brows are unruly, sparse in places, or you just want a more polished, defined look without makeup. It's a lovely way to make the most of the brows you already have.
Will lash treatments damage my natural lashes?
No — not when they're applied properly and cared for correctly. Applied and maintained with the right technique, lash treatments shouldn't harm your natural lashes; problems usually come from poor application or picking and pulling at them. I'll always look after the health of your natural lashes first and give you clear aftercare to keep them in great condition.

Practical

Do I need a patch test?
Yes — for any tinting treatment (brow tint, lamination) you'll need a patch test at least 48 hours before your first appointment. It's quick, free, and non-negotiable — your safety comes first.
